Informational Programs
Explorer's Series
I created a monthly informational program consisting of a PowerPoint that covered facts about the country such as the flag, capital city, people in government, wildlife, and food. The presentation was followed by a recipe or craft to supplement the information.
Australia
Presentation followed by a video about Bondi Beach and a tasting of some common Australian food.
Austria
Presentation followed by a video about the origin of snow globes and DIY snow globe craft.
Ethiopia
Presentation followed by a video about traditional coffee serving ceremonies and tasting of coffees from different regions of Ethiopia.
Japan
Presentation followed by a video about Sadako and the 1000 paper cranes and origami craft.
Morrocco
Presentation followed by a video about the cities and a tile-painting class.
Books and Bites Series
I created a monthly informational program where I selected a historical novel and created a PowerPoint that discussed the significant events and context of the novel. Then prepared a recipe based on the setting utilizing the makerspace kitchen.

Presentation discussing the shanty boat cities, orphanages, and adoption practices in 1939. Followed by a demonstration of BBQ pulled chicken on buttermilk biscuits.
